Pacific Shore Stones presents Wine and Stone CEU events in conjunction with the Marble Institute of America

Austin, Texas – January 13, 2016  Pacific Shore Stones is partnering with the Marble Institute of America (MIA) to offer Wine and Stone CEU presentations at six locations. This follows a recent announcement by MIA that the existing Wine and Stone presentation developed by MIA’s Women in Stone initiative was being expanded to offer a CEU component. The new presentation educates participants about the mineral composition of stone and other factors that make each stone type unique, alongside wine comparisons. CEUs (continuing education units) are available for architects and designers through the following organisations: NKBA, AIA, LACES and IDCEC.

The Wine and Stone CEU presentation will be offered by Pacific Shore Stones at six of its locations: Austin, Birmingham, Charleston, Greenville, Oxnard, and Tulsa. Each event is complimentary for participants, who will enjoy an informative presentation including six wine and six stone comparisons, plus the opportunity to view the different types of stone on display in the warehouses. This will enable participants to expand their knowledge and tell the story of natural stone in a compelling way to create appeal for clients.

Pacific Shore Stones Operating Partner Vinny Tavares commented: “We chose to offer this CEU option because it enables people to learn more about natural stone while at the same time drawing comparisons about wine in a fun, educational environment. We are very pleased to support MIA and the Women in Stone program.”

The first event will take place in Charleston on January 21st. Follow this link to register: www.marble-institute.com/WISPacific. For additional event dates and more information, please visit: www.pacificshorestones.com/newsroom/events.
